The Issues We Face

Cache County is at a crossroads. Our departments are divided, and walls have gone up between them—walls that prevent real progress. Discord among leaders and employees has kept our county from moving forward. The Executive has failed to carry out the policies and programs of the County Council, leaving critical work unfinished. Outside organizations are threatening to develop our land and take our water. Rapid growth is putting pressure on our communities and threatening our way of life. Families across the valley are feeling the squeeze of inflation. These challenges demand leadership that unites, protects, and acts with purpose.

The Change and Vision I Will Bring

I believe in the people who work for Cache County. Our employees are talented, dedicated, and hardworking. They are capable of doing great things—but they need leadership that tears down the walls dividing us. Department heads and elected officials want a leader who can bring them together and provide direction. With collaboration, accountability, and a clear plan, we can overcome the challenges we face. I will bring a vision based on sound principles and proven practices to DO MORE FOR CACHE COUNTY.

THE PLAYBOOK

1. Culture of Unity - Stronger as One

For too long, silos have been created within our county government—departments and leaders working apart instead of together. As Executive, I will break down those barriers. By putting egos aside, working with the council, and bringing government departments and employees together, we can focus on what truly matters: serving the people of Cache County.

2. Fiscal Strength

I will apply the same principles I use in my own life—frugality, smart investing for long-term growth, and careful spending. We will:
Operate efficiently

Reduce unnecessary spending

Build a long-term sustainable budget

Be fully accountable for taxpayer dollars

The goal is simple: create financial strength and control to Cache County.

3. Build Transparency & Trust

Trust is built on honesty and consistency. When I give you an answer, it will be straight, clear, and truthful—not hidden for personal benefit. I will build open communication between the Executive’s office and the people.

I also want to address an important point: my sister serves on the County Council. She is intelligent, decisive, and dedicated, and her service has been a blessing to Cache County. If elected, I will maintain a professional relationship with her—just as I did coaching my own son in football. The standard was clear: he was treated like every other player.

I will bring that same fairness and professionalism to county leadership.

4. Strong Leadership & Local Control

The number one request from those who currently work for the county is simple: they want leadership. The Executive works for the county and for the people. That means doing the job with integrity, bringing all parties together, and protecting our local interests.
I will:

Stand up to state and federal overreach

Work closely with state leaders to advance Cache County’s goals

Ensure local control of our land, water, and growth

I know how to both stand firm and work constructively with state officials to defend Cache County’s interests.

5. Protecting Cache County’s Culture & Future

As a 4th-generation resident of Cache Valley, I understand and value our way of life. I run a small ranch with 50 mother cows and a few horses. I own land in Benson, North Logan, and Hyrum. My wife and I are raising our five children here. I know firsthand what’s at stake.
As growth continues, we need a plan that:

Limits unnecessary sprawl

Protects agricultural land in high-use areas

Secures water for our farms, crops, and animals

Stops our water from being taken downstream

Continued support to our police and support services.

Our culture, our land, and our water must be preserved for future generations.

My Commitment: BE THE LEADER

I will be a leader who gets the job done—the Executive who carries out the policies and programs established by the legislative body. I will stand up to the state and federal governments when needed to protect our local interests. I will work hand in hand with the people of Cache County and others who have a vested interest in our community, building partnerships that strengthen and benefit our county. I have the experience, energy, and determination to serve as YOUR County Executive, and I will never stop working to DO MORE FOR CACHE COUNTY.
